Paignton Regatta 9th-17th August.

Paignton Regatta starts this Saturday 

In association with Anderton & Rowland Fun Fair

Saturday 9th August Beat the Tide & Big Night Out

9am to 4pm – Rowing Races from South Green
Noon – Regatta Blessing
1pm – Battle the Tide – North Beach
1pm – Twirlstars Majorettes
2pm – Soccer Penalty competition on the Green
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar
7pm – Round-the-Pier swim

Plus: Foster’s Bar and Cider shack Willow weaving classes throughout the day with Angela Sanders Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Torbay Owls & Company Brixham Battery wartime display Face Painting 7pm – Bands on the Regatta stage: Stone Angels & Empire of Fools


 Sunday 10th August Fayre & Tea Day

1pm to 4pm – Tea & cakes for Chari-tea
1pm to 4pm – Traditional Fayre games
2pm – Paper aeroplane competition
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz  at the Babbacombe Inn Bar

Plus: Torbay Owls & Company Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Brixham Battery display Face Painting 2pm – Bands on the Regatta stage: Eukele Band, Sandy Sparkle (3pm)


 Monday 11th August Children’s Day

Cosmo the clown Ozzy the Magician Balloon Modelling Kids Zumba Water Rockets Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Teddy Bear’s Tea Party Animal Encounters Face Painting

Plus: 4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar
7pm – Acoustic music from Steve Par at the Fosters bar
7.30pm – Hash House Harriers event with a bite and a pint for those who return!  (Assemble at 7.15pm).


 Tuesday 12th August Fireworks Day

11am to 12.30pm – Children’s Craft Making
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar
7.30pm – Bands on the Regatta Stage: Humanitarians, These Reigning Days (8.45pm)
9.30pm – Grand Firework Display

Plus: Brixham Battery wartime display Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Animal Encounters Face Painter


Wednesday 13th August Happy & Healthy Day

11am to 12:30pm – Children’s Craft Making
1.30pm – Torbay Leisure Hotels(THL) – Try-It-Out – Kids’ fitness
2pm – Gymnastic Display (South Devon School of Gymnastics)
2.40pm – THL  Try-It-Out exercise session – Insanity!
3.15pm – TLH Try-It-Out exercise session – Zumba
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar
4.30pm – Kids Athletics events including sack races & egg-and-spoon

Plus: Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Bay Bouncers – throughout the day Brixham Battery Wartime Display Face Painting 7pm – Bands on the Regatta stage (in association with BMAD) Pitchbend & Jai Rocks


Thursday 14th August Dog Display & Competition Day

11am to 4pm – Sled Dog demonstrations & experiences
11am – Pebble Painting competition
12.30pm – face-mask making competition
2.30pm –Chalk Art Competition
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar

Plus: Brixham Battery wartime display Dino the Dinosaurand fossil hunting Face Painting


 Friday 15th August Stunt Mania & Folk Evening

11am – Bicycle stunt display
12.30pm – Bicycle stunt display
1pm to 3pm Red Devils Parachute Display (with thanks to the Torbay Mayor’s Fund)
3pm – Bicycle stunt display
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar

Plus: Brixham Battery Wartime  display Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Torbay Owls & Company Face Painting 6.30pm – Folk Evening on the Regatta stage: Jonathan Stafford & Paddy’s Whiskers (7.30pm)


Saturday 16th August Rounders, Dog Show & Boffins day

8.30 am – all day – Rounders exhibition Event
11am to 5pm – Science Boffins Event
1pm – Registration for Fun Dog Show
2pm – Fun Dog Show
4pm – Daily Regatta Quiz at the Babbacombe Inn Bar

Plus: Brixham Battery Wartime  display Dino the Dinosaur and fossil hunting Torbay Owls & Company Face Painting 6pm – Bands on the Regatta stage: Billy-B-Jones, Firekind (8pm)


Sunday 17th August Beach Buggy Festival

11am to 4pm – Beach Buggy Festival
1pm to 4pm Cream Tea for Chari-tea
1.30pm – Taekwondo Exhibition
2pm  – Charity Auction
2.30pm  – Live music from the Miller Brothers
3pm  – Bagshot Concert Band
4pm – Songs of Praise
