Paignton’s ‘Light Fantastic’ lives up to its name…

The pressure was on Paignton today. After Torquay’s ‘Christmas Sparkle’ received negative feedback, all eyes were on Paignton to see if they could make their ‘Light Fantastic’ Christmas event a success…

And it got a big thumbs up!

The day started with carol singing in Palace Avenue. Well done to Sacred heart school choir who sang beautifully.

There was entertainment in the town centre with the palm fm team and street entertainers.

As well as Frozen’s Anna and Elsa, there were other princesses stopping to have their photos taken with their little fans. Olaf also popped by..

Later in the afternoon, local bands took to the stage, followed by Xfactor’s ‘Overload Generation’

The weather was kind and remained dry throughout the event but we did see some snow..
