Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate 66-year-old Teresa McCarthy, who is missing from Surrey and is believed to be in the Dawlish and wider South Devon area.
Teresa was last heard from on 7 August and is believed to have access to her mobile phone. Officers believe she may be travelling independently using public transport.
She may also be seeking shelter in parks, public open spaces, transport hubs and beachfront locations.
Teresa is described as white, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build, with grey hair in a cropped style. She wears glasses, which she wears on her head.
At the time she went missing, she was believed to be wearing a light grey hooded pull-over top with drawstrings, black three-quarter-length leggings and flip flops.
She has a black backpack and is pulling a larger wheeled bag, which has what appears to be a sleeping bag and roll mat strapped to either side. She is also carrying a black coat on the bag.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen Teresa recently, spoken to her, or believes they may know where she is.
Local businesses, transport staff, support services, healthcare providers and members of the public across Dawlish and South Devon are being asked to remain vigilant and report any potential sightings.
