Police appeal for witnesses after 2nd death on A38

Three men arrested after drugs seized in Paignton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a second collision on the A38 in which a man died.

A cyclist lost his life on the A38 the day before following a collision with a lorry (read more here: https://wearesouthdevon.com/driver-released-on-bail-after-a38-death/)

Police are investigating the collision between a Landrover and a parked, unattended, HGV trailer on the A38 Westbound Carriageway near Carkeel, Saltash. At approximately 7.15am on Saturday 6th September 2014

Sadly, as a result of this collision, the Landrover driver, a 67 year-old man from the nearby area was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A specialist forensic investigation of the scene took place, resulting in the A38 between Stoketon and Carkeel being closed for approximately six hours.
Police from the Plymouth Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them on 101 quoting log number 220 of 6th September 2014.
