The gates, measuring around 4ft wide and 4ft high, were taken sometime between Monday 1 September and Tuesday 25 November.

PCSO Paul Wilson, based at Chudleigh police station, said: “The person who took the gates would have needed a vehicle to take them away. We would like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Tracey Vale area over the last few months.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference CR/125203/14 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
