Kingsbridge police took to facebook to appeal to the public for information on an assault in Kingsbridge on Wednesday 29th October.

They posted:

“Yesterday evening (Wednesday 29th October) at about 1730 hrs a female was walking alone on Mill Lane, Frogmore when she was approached by a male who demanded money. He then assaulted her causing bruising to her face. The female managed to escape and call the Police.

“The male is described as white male with a dark complexion, slim build, about 5’10” – 6’00” tall, may have had stubble, wearing a dar…k zip-up hooded top with the hood up over his head, grey baggy tracksuit bottoms with a black stripe on the outside, dirty white trainers which were possibly Nike, and he smelt strongly of cigarettes. ”

We would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time, or if anyone knows who this person could be to contact us straight away. The is a very serious incident which very rarely happens in this area. Numerous Police resources are investigating the incident and we are doing everything possible to catch the Offender. Crime Number CR/118277/14 refers.”

You can call the police on 101 (non emergency number) if you have any information that may help the investigation.
