Police investigate assault of Christmas market

Police have appealed to the public to help them identify a suspect following an assault at a Christmas market stall in Exeter last November.

The incident, in which a female suspect approached a stall, and when challenged over payment assaulted a woman working on the stall, causing injuries including a bloody nose, pulled out hair and a chipped tooth, is reported to have taken place on Friday 29 November at Princess Hay, between 6pm and 7pm.

The suspect is described as teenaged white female, with long black hair, a naval ring with freckles, wearing a black belly top with baggy blue trousers.

Anybody who witnessed the incident or may be able to help to identify the suspect is asked to call police on 101 quoting 50240302116
