The assaults happened in the gents’ toilets at the Crash Manor nightclub on Union Street in the early hours of Saturday 1 November at around 3am.

The victim of one of the assaults, a 37-year-old local man, suffered whiplash and concussion after being hit on the back of his head.

The victim of the other assault, a 23-year-old local man, suffered a fractured jaw after being punched in the face.

Officers would like to speak to the man dressed as a clown featured in the video clip as he may be able to assist with enquiries.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man dressed as a clown is asked to call police on 101 quoting CR/119781/14 or CR/119902/14, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
