Police want to ‘clown’ after city nightclub assaults

Police have released a video of a man dressed as a clown they wish to speak to in connection with two unprovoked assaults in Plymouth.

The assaults happened in the gents’ toilets at the Crash Manor nightclub on Union Street in the early hours of Saturday 1 November at around 3am.

The victim of one of the assaults, a 37-year-old local man, suffered whiplash and concussion after being hit on the back of his head.

The victim of the other assault, a 23-year-old local man, suffered a fractured jaw after being punched in the face.

Officers would like to speak to the man dressed as a clown featured in the video clip as he may be able to assist with enquiries.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man dressed as a clown is asked to call police on 101 quoting CR/119781/14 or CR/119902/14, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
