Road reopens after police investigate incident

A road in Newton Abbot was closed by police when it became a crime scene in the early hours of this morning (24 August)

A section of the Avenue was closed for much of the day as police investigated but has now reopened.

A man is thought to have been injured in a ‘hit and run’ incident.

The car was later found abandoned in a car park.

Initial reports suggested there may have been fighting in the area prior to the incident.
