Rowcroft Colour Rush 2014

More photos from Rowcroft’s 5k Colour Rush which took place in Paignton on Saturday 13 September.

Over 1500 people took part in the 5k run, pledging to raise a massive £62,808 for Rowcroft, smashing the hospice’s £50,000 fundraising target.

On completion of the 5k route, participants were invited to take part in a mass paint throw, which saw 1500 people showering each other in purple, orange and blue, the colours of Rowcroft’s logo.

Jess Goodwin, Events Co-ordinator for Rowcroft Hospice, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported this crazy event! It was incredible to see so many people come together to support Rowcroft Hospice, and even more incredible to see them all transformed into human rainbows!

“We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all those who sponsored our Colour Rush participants, every penny you donated will go towards funding the vital care we provide for more than 1800 people across South Devon every year. Over 70% of our funding comes from the local community, so we are so grateful for all your support!”

Rowcroft Hospice serves the people of South Devon by providing specialist care to patients with progressive, life limiting illnesses. To find out more, see http://www.rowcrofthospice.org.uk/
