The news on abbounced Facebook yesterday:

“Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is sad to announce the death of the zebra foal born on 9 November.

“The foal’s mother, Taru, has successfully reared in the past however, on this occasion she seemingly would not allow the foal to feed. The keepers and vets stepped in and started to give supplementary feeds, but unfortunately she became too weak so the difficult decision was made to put her to sleep at the end of the second day.
