South Devon teenager dies after falling from ladder

Two led to safety from Torquay house fire

Police and the Health and Safety Executive are carrying out an investigation into the death of a teenager in Newton Abbot.

Officers were called at 1pm on Thursday 4 December after reports a 17-year-old boy had fallen from a ladder in Abbotskerswell.

The teenager, from the South Devon area, was taken by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital with serious head and back injuries and sadly passed away in hospital on Friday 5 December.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
