Get ready to dust off your leg warmers, tease up your hair and party like it’s 1985 as Torbay Communities brings its popular Silent Disco back to Torquay this summer.
Following the success of last year’s ABBA Silent Disco, this year’s event takes on an 80s theme, promising an evening packed with iconic music, fancy dress, food and fundraising.
The 80s Silent Disco will take place on Saturday 8 August 2026, from 7pm until 9pm, on the old bowling green outside Cantina Torquay.
Partygoers will be able to slip on a pair of wireless headphones and choose between three music channels throughout the evening:
-Cheesy Pop Hits
-Air Guitar Anthems
-New Wave & Synth Sounds
Fancy dress is highly encouraged, with organisers inviting guests to embrace everything the decade had to offer – from neon colours and shoulder pads to double denim, leg warmers and questionable perms. There will also be a fancy dress competition for those who really go all out.
As well as two hours of nostalgic tunes, visitors can enjoy fun and games throughout the evening, while food and drinks will be available from Cantina Torquay.
The event is a fundraiser for Torbay Communities, with all proceeds helping the local charity continue its work supporting people and strengthening communities across Torbay.
Tickets cost £15 per person.
