Tickets are now on sale for a new conference in Exeter aimed at improving support and outcomes for people affected by dementia and their families.
The Devon Dementia Conference 2026 will take place at Westpoint Arena, Exeter, on Friday 2 October.
Hosted by The Filo Project, the event will bring together dementia experts, family carers, community organisations and sector leaders to explore ways of helping people live well with dementia.
The conference will feature talks from dementia experts as well as a special performance from a Dementia Choir, highlighting creativity, connection and the role music can play for people living with dementia.
The Filo Project is a social enterprise providing small-group dementia day care in the homes of trained and paid hosts, as well as support and wellbeing services for individuals and their families.
Founded in 2014, the organisation says it has supported more than 5,000 older people and provided respite for thousands of families and unpaid carers.
It currently supports around 350 clients across Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, East Lancashire, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Its day service is aimed at socially isolated older people with early to moderate dementia, providing small-group support while giving family carers regular respite.
The organisation also provides support to families through its Family Support Service.
