A vandal targeted Chatsworth Road in Torquay, puncturing car tyres and causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Residents were shocked this morning when they discovered a number of cars and vans in the street had flat tyres.

One resident told us that he needed his car for work

“I need to go to work to earn money to replace my tyres, I can’t get to work because the tyres are flat but I cant afford to replace them. Its a catch 22 situation. I don’t understand why anyone would do this”

It is thought that up to 20 cars were damaged.
