Van completely destroyed by ‘deliberate’ fire

The fire service was called to a vehicle fire in Bittaford in the early hours of this morning (18 September)

One appliance from Ivybridge was mobilised just before 2am to reports of a vehicle on fire in a car park in Bittaford.

On arrival crews used 2 Breathing Apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

The LGV van was completely destroyed by fire.

The fire service have said that the cause of the fire is believed to have been deliberate.

Police were also in attendance.
