Vehicle fire on old A38, Lower Dean

The Fire Service were called to a vehicle fire on the Old A38, Lower Dean, near Buckfastleigh just after 9am this morning.

A Fire Engine from Buckfastleigh was mobilised to the incident.

Crews found the vehicle well alight off the public highway and got to work fighting the fire.

The fire was extinguished leaving the car severely damaged by fire. 

Crews used 2 hose reel jets and 2 sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. 

The cause was accidental.
