Hello my name is Jessica Cooper, I am a kennel maid for Foredowne Boarding Kennels in Kingskerswell. We are currently overrun with stray dogs looking for their forever homes and for another chance in life. This year alone we have had 58 stray dogs come into our care which only 26 were reunited with their owners.

We are not a charity so we don’t have any funds to help look after these dogs desperately looking for a home. Some dogs in our care have been very unlucky and have been looking for a home for over two years! Luckily some have found rescue places with local and distance charities but the rest are left behind waiting. We have re-homed lots of dogs this year so far but desperately trying to re-home every single one we have in our care.

Dogs are abandoned every single day around the world and left to fend for themselves. Luckily in England we save them from the streets whereas in other countries they are all by themselves.

At Foredowne we board a charity with us called ‘Stray Dog Sanctuary’. They also have lots of dogs needing homes. They are based in Dorset but a lot of the dogs are in our care. They also have had dogs looking for homes for over two years!

Between Foredowne and Stray Dog Sanctuary we just want everyone to be aware of how many dogs are being abandoned every single day. Please support your local re-homing centres before buying from a breeder. We have so many wonderful, caring, loyal dogs looking for homes.

Please take just a few minutes to watch our YouTube video of our stray dogs needing homes.
