£1000 stolen from Newton Abbot social club in burglary

Around £1000 was stolen in a burglary at a social club in Newton Abbot in the early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday 8th July.

The burglary is thought to have happened between 1 am and 7am. Police say the alarm to the premises on Marsh Road was believed to have been sounding for sometime.

Unknown offenders entered the building and took around £1000 cash and broke into a fruit machine.

Police are appealing to the public for any witnesses who may have information or may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time.
