The fire service were called to reports of a car fire late last night in Torquay.
One fire engine was mobilised to the incident at Windmill playing fields in Hele just before midnight.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“On arrival the crew confirmed that the vehicle was well alight. The car was severely damaged by fire and the changing rooms of the football club were slightly damaged by heat. The fire crew used two breathing apparatus, two hole reel jets, a hydraulic cutting rescue set and a dry powder extinguisher to deal with the incident,”
