The fire service was called to a report of a car on fire on Walls Hill Road in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 9th February.
One fire engine from Torquay was mobilised to the incident at around 00:45hrs.
A member of the public reported the incident.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said on their website:
“On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed a fire in the engine bay of the car and got to work to extinguish the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet.
“The fire caused approximately 50% fire damage to the car. The incident was left in the hands of the police,”
