Police investigate after body found in Torquay park

Police have now confirmed a body was found at Cary Park in Torquay in the early hours of this morning.

Police remain at the scene.

The area is cordoned off, with tarpaulin covering the slide area.

The park is currently closed to the public and a large number of police remain at the scene after a body was discovered in the early hours of this morning.

The death is being treated as unexplained at this time.

Enquiries are ongoing and police would like to speak with a group of males aged 18-22 who were in the park at approximately 0200 hours on 22nd May. If you have any information please call 101 and quote incident log 118 220516
