Update: Body found in Torquay park

Police have confirmed that a body found in Cary Park, Torquay on Sunday was a woman in her thirties.

The body was found around 3am in the park on Reddinhill Road.

The park was closed as Police investigated.

The woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will now be prepared for HM Coroner. The woman’s family have been informed.

Police received a very positive response from the public in relation to an earlier witness appeal regarding this incident and officers would like to thank all those who came forward and assisted their investigation.

Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death.
