Emergency services were called to a man on the cliff at Petit Tor Point, Torquay this evening.
The incident, near Oddicombe, happened earlier this evening, with Police, ambulance and Coastguard in attendance.

The man was talked to a safe area and assisted by paramedics.
A spokesperson for the Coastguard said:
“Full team page to assist the police with a suicidal male at Petit Tor Point. Teignmouth Coastguard were also called to back us up. Once on scene we took harnesses and safety equipment to ensure the police and casualty were safe whilst the casualty was talked back into a safe area,”
