Registration for The Colour Rush Paignton, Rowcroft Hospice’s original and massively popular colour-crazy 5k is now open. Dubbed South Devon’s brightest 5k, The Colour Rush Paignton is taking place on Saturday 17 September and invites people to complete a 5k route along Preston and Paignton Beaches while being showered, caked and covered in brightly coloured powder paint.
Events Manager at Rowcroft Hospice, Daniel Robson, explained: “The Colour Rush is probably the craziest 5k you’ll run in all your life, you’ll be expected to complete the route while we cover you in powder paint, and we should warn you, our paint throwers will be armed with two tonnes of powder paint and are very enthusiastic!”
Once participants have completed the route, they’ll be invited to take part in Rowcroft’s legendary mass paint throw, which with a lot of people and a lot of bags of paint is guaranteed to be big, bright and colour-crazy!
Sounds of the summer will be pumped out during the day by South Devon’s own The Breeze radio station and food, refreshments and entertainment will be available in the Event Village, which will be open to participants and spectators.
All those who sign up to take part in The Colour Rush are asked to raise as much in sponsorship as possible for completing the brightest 5k of their lives.
