A 35 year old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Dawlish at the weekend.
Police were called to a rural property off Hensford Road at 8am on Saturday 16th July to reports of a man with a cross bow.
One man, a local 24 year old was taken to Torbay hospital with a serious arm injury, police have stated his injuries are consistent with being shot with a crossbow and are potentially life changing. The man was later transferred to Royal Devon and Exeter hospital.
A number of weapons, including a cross bow, were seized at the property.
Leo Michaels from Hensford Road, Dawlish was charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent.
He appeared at Torquay Magistrates Court on Monday 18th July and was remanded in custody to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 18th August 2016.
Police can confirm both men are known to each other.
