An adult and child were rescued from a fire at a flat in Belgrave Road this afternoon, 17th January.
The fire service were called to reports of a fire at around 3.45pm.
Three fire engines attended the incident. Police closed the road.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said:
“On arrival, crews confirmed smoke issuing. Fire Crews rescued 1 Adult from a ground floor flat and 1 Child from the 1st floor flat via a window. The fire was extinguished using four Breathing Apparatus, one Hose Reel Jet and a Thermal Imaging Camera. The fire was located in the hallway,”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
