INTREPID fundraiser Ann Whitehouse has been back out on the road to raise more money for charity.
Despite pouring rain and high winds Ann donned her rain mac and walking shoes and set out for Goodrington Sands from the centre of Torquay to raise cash for the Torbay Timebank and Ageing Well Torbay.
She managed to raise just over £100 from family and friends despite most of them being in lockdown in the build up to the walk.
“I am just grateful for the all the hardwork that goes into the Timebank and Ageing Well that I wanted to give something back,” said the retired Torbay Hospital worker.
Ann of Pendennis Road, Hele, has raised thousands of pounds for charity down the years and has banked more than 1000 hours through her work with Timebank doing everything from looking after people’s cats to walking with an Alzheimer’s sufferer, to helping with children at the Acorn Centre.
She even managed to stage her 70th birthday celebrations using Timebank credits and whilst raising more money for charity at the Windmill Centre two years ago.
