Appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage following serious collision on A38

Road closed due to police incident in Torquay

Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision on the A38 near Chudleigh yesterday, Tuesday 22 November.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision, involving a grey Volvo XC60 and a blue BMW 420, on the northbound carriage way at Chudleigh shortly before 9am.

A woman in her 40s who was driving the Volvo was taken to Derriford Hospital with life-changing injuries.

The road was closed for approximately three hours whilst investigation work took place.
