Appeal for witnesses following assault in Exeter

Police have appealed to the public for information following an assault in Exeter earlier this week, asking for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

Police were called to reports of an altercation outside St Sidwell’s Chapel, on Sidwell Street, between 3.30pm and 4pm, on Tuesday 15 June.

A 23-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker, and has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, to return on Saturday 24 July.
