Police have appealed for witnesses following a collision in Torquay last night, Wednesday 29 December.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Belgrave Road at around 6.30pm.
The collision happened near the junction with Church Street.
Local officers as well as officers from Roads Policing Team conducted an investigation at the scene and the road was reopened by around 10pm.
A local man in his 50s sustained a serious, but not life-threatening injury and is being treated at hospital.
The police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information or dashcam footage that could help the police with their enquiries.
