Appeal for information following burglary in Torquay

Police have appealed for information following a burglary in Torquay over the weekend.

A handbag containing cash and bank cards was stolen from a property in the Barton New Town area of Torquay.

The incident happened on Windward Road between 11.15pm on Saturday 9 December and 9.45am on Sunday 10 December.

Police are also reminding residents to ensure that their property is secure. Crime prevention advice can be found on the Devon and Cornwall Police website.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting crime reference CR/107225/17.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
