One man has been arrested for attempted murder and another for serious assault following a serious assault in Dawlish at the weeked.
The incident happened between 9.30pm and 9.50pm on Saturday evening, 24th June, near the lawn on Brunswick Place in Dawlish, a 32 year old local man was assaulted which resulted in a serious wound to the neck.
It is understood that the victim was leaving a local takeaway and was confronted by a man and an altercation has taken place. The injury is alleged to have been caused by a broken bottle.
A 19 year old man from Hereford was arrested for attempted murder and a 24 year old man from Dawlish was arrested for assault. Both men have been questioned by police. The 24 year old man has been released under investigation and the other man is still in custody helping with police with their enquiries.
