The body of a man found on Paradise Copse in Broadclyst, Exeter has been been formally identified as missing man John Coker.
The body was found by a dog walker on Wednesday 12 August.
Mr Coker last spoken to on Friday 17 July and is last thought to have been near Bradninch at the time.
A major search was launched involving police, Dartmoor Search and Rescue and Devon and Somerset Fire Urban Search and Rescue.
His next of kin are aware and have asked for privacy.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and police continue to carry out enquiries on behalf of the coroner.
