Body found at Exeter Quay confirmed as missing man Dex Johnson

Police have today, Friday 2nd June confirmed the identity of a body that was found by search teams at Exeter Quay.

The body has been identified as that of missing 24-year-old Dex Johnston from Exeter.

Dex, who worked for Royal mail, went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning, 28th May.

Police, divers, helicopter ,search and rescue teams as well as friends of Dex had been searching for him.

Floral tributes have been left at Exeter Quay.

A police spokesperson said:
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained whilst enquiries are ongoing and police await the outcome of post-mortem results.

“Please be respectful of his family’s privacy at this time,”
