Body of man found in Paignton Woods

The body of a man has been found at Primley Wood in Paignton, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to concerns for the welfare of a male in the area at 5.30pm yesterday, Thursday 13 August.

Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Paignton Police said: “On 13/08 at approximately 1730hrs we received a 999 call to Primley Woods reporting the concern for the welfare of a male inside.

“Police, Fire and Ambulance attended, the male was located and unfortunately confirmed deceased at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious.

“Our thoughts are with the males family and friends.”
