Further update: The ordnance has been deemed safe and cordon lifted.
Update: 100m cordon in place from Brixham fish quay which may be increased to 200m on advice from Royal Navy Bomb disposal.
Brixham Harbour is currently closed to traffic and pedestrians due to an unexploded ordnance being discovered this afternoon, Sunday 19th August.
Police are at the scene of the incident.
Posting on Facebook, Kingsbridge Police said: “Due to an unexploded ordnance we have had to close Brixham Harbour. Please avoid and share this post,”
It is reported that the ordnance was trawled up by a fishing boat.
