Torbay Council have given an update on Brixham Road road works:
From Monday 24th June there will be temporary traffic lights replacing the current permanent ones. These will be in place for 3 and a half weeks to enable the new permanent lights to be installed.
These temporary lights will also allow for the final surfacing and road lining work to take place. Some of these surfacing works will be taking place during the day but there will be more work needed to be done overnight, which will involve further sets of temporary lights. These extra lights will be starting on Wednesday 26th June and will be placed at a range of junctions between Claylands and Yannon Farm. The night time work will be taking place from 7 pm to around 6.30 am on the following nights:
Wednesday 26th June
Thursday 27th June
Friday 28th June
Monday 1st July
Tuesday 2nd July
Wednesday 3rd July
Monday 15th July
Tuesday 16th July

As well as these lights, the inbound and outbound lanes of Roselands Drive at Yannon Farm will be closed at various times from the 1st July. This is so that drainage works can be carried out across the junction. Advanced warning signs will be put in place for this.
The new traffic lights will be hopefully ready to turn on on Wednesday 17th July and this is when most of the lane closures will be removed. Some of the new lanes may still need to be coned off for minor works to the pathways.
This is the start of the final phase of the work, it will be disruptive and we would suggest if you can to find alternative routes while this work is being undertaken.
