The Torbay Jobs Fair returns this autumn and local employers are invited to book a free stand to advertise and fill their vacancies.
The popular event will take place from 10 am to 12:30 pm on Friday 20 October at Torquay Town Hall with organisers expecting hundreds of jobseekers to attend.
Employers will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with people from all ages and backgrounds who are looking for work.
There will also be a Disability Confident session from 9:30 to 10am when attendees who require additional support will be able
to experience the event during a quieter time.
The event is free for both employers and jobseekers and is delivered by TDA in partnership with Torbay Council and Jobcentre Plus.
Councillor Chris Lewis, Cabinet Member for Place Services and Economic Growth for Torbay Council, said: ‘‘Torbay Council is proud to support the Torbay Jobs
Fair which is a fantastic, annual event that connects residents and local businesses. It provides employers with the opportunity to showcase what their businesses have to offer, meet with potential candidates in person, and fill their vacancies, at no cost
to employers or jobseekers. With hundreds of attendees expected to attend, it’s the perfect place for local businesses to recruit new talent.’’
Employers from all sectors and industries who have current job or apprenticeship vacancies are welcome to apply for a free stand. Space at the event is limited
so businesses are advised to reserve their stand as soon as possible via
Eventbrite or by contacting Elizabeth Devonport, TDA Economic Development Officer: Elizabeth.devonport@tda.uk.net.
