Car destroyed in ‘deliberate’ fire in Torquay

Fire crews were called to reports of a car fire on Huxtable Hill in Torquay late last night, 4th April.

Two fire appliances attended the incident, one from Torquay and one from Paignton.

Initial reports suggested someone was inside the vehicle. Fortunately, this was not the case. The fire service has stated that the cause of the fire was deliberate.

The road remained closed after the incident to allow for recovery work 

#Devon In Torquay Huxtable Hill is closed both directions between Old Mill Road and Nut Bush Lane due to earlier vehicle fire.[SG]
