Cars damaged in arson attack in Newton Abbot

Fire service alerted to Paignton house fire by neighbour

The fire service were called to reports of two separate vehicle fires in the same road in Newton Abbot early this morning, 27th June.

Two fire engines from Newton Abbot attended the incident in Seymour Road at around 5.20am.

Crews extinguished the vehicles using a hose jet on each. One car was severely damaged, the other car was damaged at the rear.

Rubbish in the garden of a property was also on fire, which was also extinguished by fire crews.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have said that all fires were deliberate and the Police were also on scene.
