In the Visitor Welcome Point, gifts from the toy maker, delightful treats from the chocolatier, jewellery, textiles, leather products, wrapping paper, handmade cards and much more can be found. The variety of gifts at Cockington has to be seen to be believed, all of which come from the local innovative crafts makers.
With over 30 food stalls and a range of activities, including craft workshops, a mind-blowing magician, a skilled juggler, choirs, mince pies and hot mulled cider and wine.
Santa will arrive down the Manor House chimney and will be ready to greet children next to the Christmas tree from the 5-20 December, every weekend.
This year Cockington Christmas Trees will be set up for visitors to select their desired tree from the natural, hand-grown trees which are available in a range of sizes.
On the Sunday, jam jars can be decorated in the Christmas workshop and used to take part in the celebratory lantern parade at 4pm, which is magical for children and adults alike.
Marissa Wakefield, Centre Director of Cockington Court, said: “The spirit at Cockington around Christmas is always fantastic. We are delighted to have added Christmas trees to our festive offering. Visitors can simply drive up to the stables, situated behind the Manor House, select their perfect tree and have it loaded into their vehicle, or delivered to their home.
“It is another great opportunity to exhibit and celebrate the great work of the crafts makers here at Cockington. I would urge anybody to come and admire their work and select unique gifts for Christmas. I’m so pleased that we are able to open later on Wednesdays to give more people this opportunity to see our gifts and Desire exhibition.”
Cockington Court’s Kitchen Gallery and Visitor Welcome Point will be open late on Wednesdays for shoppers to find that unique, handmade, crafted gift for Christmas.
