Police have appealed for witnesses following an accident in Totnes which left a Brixham man with critical injuries.
Emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision at 6.10am on Saturday 12 March after a Ford Fusion left the A385 near to Longcombe Cross and collided with a tree.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 66-year-old man from Brixham, sustained serious chest injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The road was closed for eight hours while officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit carried out an examination of the scene.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and appealing for witnesses. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the black Ford Fusion travelling in the area before the incident.
