The Dartmouth Lower ferry float is back from its annual refit after its recent service. Making sure that everything is in perfect order, for its Maritime Coastguard Agency annual passenger certificate.
Both floats ‘Tom Avis’ and the ‘Tom Casey’ have now successfully undertaken their yearly refits. The South Hams District Council owned ferry service, continues to work from 7:00 a.m. through until 11:00 p.m. every day, to get residents, workers and holiday-makers across the Dart safely and quickly.
Ferry Manager, Pat Webb, said: “It is great to have both ferries safely passing the annual inspections and back running at full strength. We run throughout the week, whatever the weather and safety is always our top priority.”
