If your children (or you) love diggers, this is the place for you. Not a fan?
You soon will be.
Diggerland has something for everyone, the attraction has something to keep you busy from the moment you arrive… and it’s not all diggers.
Diggerland, which is easily found just off the M5 Okehampton turn off, also boasts some amazing zip lines, outdoor and indoor play areas, dodgems, a safari drive and a very reasonably priced cafe. Picnics are welcome and there are shaded eating areas.
We went as a family of four with two girls aged 10 and 4. Telling them we were going to Diggerland wasn’t met with too much excitement, until we got there…
Straight in and onto the diggers. Now, if like us, you’ve never operated a digger, don’t fear, the friendly staff talk you through the simple instructions at each one. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, adding to the overall feel of the place, which is chilled and happy.
As well as full size diggers and construction machinery, there are also rides….
Will you brave the skyshuttle? There’s a great view if you do!
Don’t miss Spindizzy, you’ve guessed it – this one spins! Hold onto your stomach!
If you want to take some time out and be driven around, head over to the safari drive. Keep your eyes peeled, you might see some wild animals out there! Thanks for the jokes Richard!
Letting our preschooler drive or operate any kind of machinery wasn’t on our list of things to do any time soon but Diggerland is a great place to have a go! Naturally, she was keen! This is a great family friendly and safe setting. Definitely an experience she won’t forget.
We were lucky to visit on a hot/dry day but even if the weather wasn’t so good, squishy mud would add to the fun!
We loved it, the children loved it and as soon as we arrived, we knew we should have taken grandad – this would be his perfect day. A great all-rounder with something to keep everyone happy. We look forward to returning.
