Devonshire Homes appoints new Land Manager after business expansion plans revealed

Award-winning West Country housebuilder Devonshire Homes has boosted its land team with the appointment of a new Land Manager.

Yasmin Elliott joins the firm as the Tiverton-based housebuilder presses ahead with growth plans to double turnover and deliver 400 homes per annum by 2026.

With over five years’ experience in the industry, Yasmin joins from Barratt Developments where she was a Land Buyer. Utilising her experience, Yasmin will take a lead on identifying and bidding on land, submitting planning applications for new build home sites and monitoring and liaising with the Devonshire Homes land team and external consultants to drive forward future housing developments.

Attracted to the privately-owned housebuilder by its strong reputation in the South West, Yasmin is looking forward to developing her career and expanding her knowledge at Devonshire Homes.

Yasmin commented: “Devonshire Homes has a great reputation for building a premium product and I’m excited to be part of such an experienced team. I’m looking forward to identifying development opportunities and building lasting relationships with landowners across the region to bring forward developments.

“Within a short space of time, it’s been evident to me just how hard the team work to ensure they deliver homes that the West Country can be proud of. The company culture is fantastic, and everyone goes above and beyond to help each other. I’m delighted to have joined Devonshire Homes at such a pivotal time for the business and its growth plans and I look forward to being a part of that journey.”

Angus Cook, Devonshire Homes Managing Director commented: “Yasmin is an excellent addition to our qualified land team. Not only does she bring her experience of working with a national PLC, but she has worked extensively with a not-for-profit housing organisation too so her skills and knowledge will be an asset to Devonshire Homes’ land department. She strengthens our team in support of our business growth plans. We have the funding in place with the support of our bank, Lloyds, coupled with the firepower of our JV Partners, The Housing Growth Partnership and LiveWest. It really is an exciting time to be in land acquisition within Devonshire Homes.”

Devonshire Homes’ land and planning team has a record of success across the South West region, having secured strategic and immediate land to bring much needed new homes to Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The independent firm is recognised by landowners for its flexible approach and ability to provide bespoke solutions to unlock land value.

Devonshire Homes is currently seeking further land opportunities in the South West for sites, with or without planning permission. If you know of land that may have potential, email land@devonshirehomes.co.uk.

Devonshire Homes has been creating new homes and communities in towns and rural areas across the West Country since 1992. The housebuilder specialises in providing homes which reflect the traditional characteristics and building styles of the region combined with high specification, contemporary interiors.

Current developments include: Tarka View, Crediton; Applegate Park, Kingsbridge; Longston Cross, Bovey Tracey and Gwallon Keas, St. Austell with The Grange, Bideford, launching this spring.
