A dog was rescued by the fire service today, Friday 6th December.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a dog stuck in mud at Steamer Quay just before 5pm.
One fire appliance from Paignton and specialist rescue team from Camels Head were mobilised to the incident.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that a dog was stuck in mud and got crews to work to rescue the dog using a triple extension ladder.
Once rescued, the dog was left in the care of its owner.”
