‘Drunk’ man runs from scene of collision in Torquay

A man, described as drunk by witnesses, left the scene of a collision in Torquay last night, Tuesday 15 June.

The incident happened on the A379 in Torquay. The Ford Fiesta crashed in a VW Transporter, with the driver fleeing the scene.

Police took to Twitter to let him know that they know who he is.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team tweeted: “The driver of this Ford Fiesta chose not to answer for his sins after crashing head on into the VW Transporter on the wrong side of the road on A379 Torquay. Witnesses describe a young drunk man running away. Alas, we now know who you are. You’ll hear from us shortly!”
