The museum, an Exeter City Council service, is delighted to offer the opportunity to become a member of their new Community Panel; a group of people whose views will help to shape the creative programme and wider activities at RAMM.
By being a part of the panel individuals will provide independent feedback and ideas from a community perspective to support the development of RAMM’s programme and activities, helping to ensure the museum is accessible to all and reflects the voices and interests of local communities.
The team at RAMM are keen to hear from a wide range of people reflecting the diverse community of Exeter, who have a passion for culture and entertainment in their many forms. This opportunity offers members of the public the chance to represent Exeter and its communities, develop an understanding of how museums work and use life experience to offer RAMM useful insights.
Camilla Hampshire, RAMM Museum Manager said, ‘It is an important time for the continued development of RAMM and its work with the community. This promises to be a fulfilling and enjoyable experience that will help panel members gain skills and knowledge, as well as offering a unique opportunity to help shape the programme at an acclaimed regional museum.’
No formal qualifications or experience are necessary to be a part of the Community Panel. The museum is searching for applicants from all of Exeter neighbourhoods and encourages those who see themselves as underrepresented to apply. Participants will receive payment, expenses and exclusive opportunities. Further details on the role, what it will involve and how to apply can be found at rammuseum.org.uk/jobs
