Members of the Exmouth Moose International recently raised £1,000 for the local charity that saves lives at sea.
The well established lodge and circle of Exmouth Moose International 159 presented the cheque to Exmouth RNLI this week at the lifeboat station in Queens Drive.
Chair of the group, Ian Cottey, said, “We raised these funds through various local events, fetes, draws and raffles held throughout the year. We aim to support important local charities within Exmouth and this time Exmouth RNLI was nominated. I am very pleased to be able to present this cheque from our members.”
Des White, Chair of the Exmouth RNLI Fundraising Team, received the cheque on behalf of the charity. He said, “On behalf of all the volunteers here at Exmouth RNLI, I’d like to thank their members for considering us as their chosen charity and working so hard to raise such a significant amount. All funds raised will go to essential training and equipment for our crews to enable them to continue their vital lifesaving work.”
